AB de Villiers said that any player who hits sixes longer than 100 meters should not only get 6 runs, but it should increase.

Yesterday i.e. on 21st January, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen also advised on this. He said that sixes hit longer than 100 meters should yield 12 runs instead of 6.

Now AB de Villiers has also given his advice on this post of Kevin Pietersen. De Villiers said that 12 runs would be too much, it would not be right to give away 12 runs instead of 6 runs. De Villiers further said that 8 to 9 runs can be given on a six longer than 100 meters.

It is clear from this that De Villiers believes that if a player hits six longer than 100 meters, then he should get not just 6 runs but 9 runs. The player has also advised the third umpire on close decision decisions.

De Villiers said that on very close decisions, we can take the advice of the spectators sitting on the field and the umpire can give his decision keeping in mind the decision of the audience.
