Former South African Johan Botha will return to the Adelaide Strikers after eight years, Johan will return to the Adelaide Oval as an assistant coach with the Strikers for KFC BBL.
The head coach will join Jason Gillespie’s panel:-
Botha, a former South African off-spinner-turned-T20 player, will join the panel of head coach Jason Gillespie with a focus on bowling, fielding and strategy.

Few can boast of more experience and experience with T20 franchises around the world than the 40-year-old who, after his departure from SA and the Strikers (who also captained), turned to rival BBL outfits Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes.
“The team has great potential to come into a really strong season last summer. And I’m looking forward to what we can achieve together in BBL|12.”

Botha, who played five Tests and 118 limited-overs internationals for South Africa between 2005 and 2012.
Known as a fierce competitor and a staunch fitness advocate. His post-cricket career ambition was to become a professional ultra-distance trail runner.
He left the Proteas in 10 One Day Internationals, leading a team. That included heavyweights such as AB de Villiers, Jacques Kallis, Herschelle Gibbs, Mark Boucher, and Hashim Amla.
