BCCI New Selection Committee: Indian former bowler Venkatesh Prasad can become the chairman of the BCCI selection committee. Venkatesh Prasad is all set to take charge as the chairman of the new selection committee of the BCCI.
The Expected To be Named As The New Chairman:-
According to BCCI sources, Venkatesh, who has applied for the post of selectors, is expected to be named as the new chairman soon.

Sources told Sport that the BCCI is looking for someone with good T20 experience as a selector in the new committee.
Such is the cricket career of Venkatesh Prasad:-
Venkatesh Prasad, 53, has played 33 Tests and 161 ODIs for the Indian team. At the same time, he has taken the wickets of 290 batsmen while bowling well and he is the most experienced cricketer to apply for the new selector’s post.
A BCCI source said, “The new selection committee will be finalized and announced before the end of this month.
Prasad is one of the most experienced cricketers:-
Venkatesh Prasad is one of the most experienced cricketers to have applied for the role. There has been no formal discussion, but he is likely to get a vote of confidence from all as the new president.”
Notably, the CAC will now interview the shortlisted candidates and take a call next week. However, the new BCCI and CAC are not sure about giving former chairman of the selection committee Chetan Sharma a second chance.

He has reapplied for the job. The CAC and selectors will have a huge task ahead of them including a decision on the India T20 reboot.
