Bairstow is an English cricketer who plays internationally for England in all formats. In domestic cricket, he represents Yorkshire and has played in several Twenty20 leagues including Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League.

Bairstow plays as a right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman. Along with Ben Stokes, he holds the world record for the most number of sixth wickets in a Test against South Africa during the 2015–16 tour of England: 399.

His Early Life:-

Bairstow was born on 26 September 1989 in Bradford, West Yorkshire. The second son of former Yorkshire and England wicketkeeper David Bairstow. And the younger half-brother of former Derbyshire player Andrew Bairstow.

He displayed early talent when he was chosen as the inaugural winner of the Young Wisden School Cricketer of the Year award. Scoring 654 runs for St Peter’s School, York in 2007. Bairstow also played for the Leeds United youth football team.

Bairstow’s Franchise Career:-

Joni was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad in December 2018 in the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League.

In late November 2018, after the England vs Sri Lanka Test series ended. Bairstow signed a short-term contract to play for Kerala Kings in the T10 League in Sharjah. where he played alongside Eoin Morgan.

In his second (and final) game for the franchise that year. He scored an unbeaten 84 off 24 balls. A new record in the format – to help his side register a 7-wicket win.
