BCCI Central Contract 2024: Hardik Pandya, who plays occasionally, got a grade A, Kuldeep, who plays all formats, got a grade B, and questions raised on social media. The central contract for the year 2023-24 was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday 28 February.
Contracts Were Also Snatched From Players Like Iyer And Ishaan:-
There was a lot of controversy over the contract this time. The most stringent step was taken by BCCI when the contracts of players like Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan were also snatched away. The young players got contracts.

Not only this, the selection committee also demanded to bring many uncapped players under contract. But amidst all this, there was one question that started arising on social media.
People said that Hardik Pandya, who sometimes plays in Team India, has been kept in A grade, while Kuldeep Yadav, an important player in all three formats, is included in B grade.
Why Did This Question Arise?
Well, this question is justified if we look at the figures. Kuldeep Yadav is currently the only spinner after Ravindra Jadeja to play for India in all three formats. But he has been kept in Grade B in the new contract.
Kuldeep also played the entire season in the ODI World Cup 2023 and was also an important part. But Hardik Pandya was out of the tournament midway and has not yet returned to international cricket.
This is why the question is arising as to why Kuldeep Yadav got a B grade. Whereas Kuldeep is not a new player either. He has been with Team India since 2017. Hardik also made his debut in 2016, both are players of almost the same batch.
Kuldeep Played More Matches Than Hardik in The Year 2023?
If we talk about the year 2023, Hardik Pandya has played 11 T20 International and 19 ODI matches in the whole year. Talking about Kuldeep Yadav, he played 9 T20 International and 30 ODI matches throughout the year.
In the year 2024, Kuldeep Yadav has played three test matches. In such a situation, Kuldeep Yadav plays more in every sense, even though he is a senior, he has been kept in B grade. Let us tell you that Grade A+ players get Rs 7 crore from the board in a whole year.
Whereas Grade A players get Rs 5 crore. BCCI gives Rs 3 crore to Grade B players for the whole year. Players included in Grade C get Rs 1 crore for the whole year.
