The BCCI appoints Hrishikesh Kanitkar as head coach of the Indian women’s cricket team and Ramesh Powar to join NCA.
Kanitkar was Appointed As The Head Coach:-
The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Monday appointed Hrishikesh Kanitkar as the head coach for the Indian women’s senior cricket team.

Kanitkar will join the team for the Indian women’s team in the upcoming series against Australia.
While former Indian women’s team head coach Ramesh Powar and VVS Laxman will join the NCA together and work together for the men’s cricket team.
Hrishikesh Kanitkar after becoming the Head Coach of the Women’s Cricket Team said, “It is a great honor for me to be associated with the Senior Women’s Team India as the Head Coach.
Very good mix of youth as well as experience in the team:-
I see great potential in this team and we have a great mix of youth as well as experience in the team.
I feel the Indian women’s senior team is well prepared for the challenges ahead. We will be playing some great competitions soon and it is all going to be very exciting for my team and me”.
Apart from this, Ramesh Powar has said that “It has been a great experience in the role of head coach with the women’s senior team. I have worked closely with some of the veteran and rising stars of the country over the years.
His years of experience with upcoming talents at NCA:-
I look forward to building on my years of experience with the upcoming talents at NCA. Apart from this, I am very happy to work closely with VVS Laxman to enhance the game and bench strength.
While VVS Lakshan has said that “After the appointment of Ramesh Powar as the coach of spin bowlers. We are sure that he will bring his experience and his talent to the National Cricket Academy.
