ICC ODI Rankings: Pakistan cricket team has climbed to the top of the MRF Tires ICC Men’s ODI Team Rankings with their win in the 4th ODI against New Zealand (PAK vs NZ) in Karachi. This is Pakistan’s best ranking before this year’s ODI World Cup.

Pakistan’s men’s team has become the new No. 1 team in ODIs after a massive win over New Zealand in the 4th ODI of the bilateral series in Karachi. Pakistan is now ahead 4-0 in the series. He has 113 rating points, leaving behind Australia and India on decimal points.

Pakistan was fifth in the ODI rankings with 106 rating points before the start of the series against New Zealand. In the first two matches, the team chased big targets. They went on to win the third ODI in Karachi by 26 runs to move up to third on the points table behind Australia and India and ahead of England and New Zealand.

In the fourth ODI on Friday, Babar Azam’s 18th ODI century, and contributions from others helped Pakistan post a total of 334. Babar became the fastest player to score 5000 ODI runs in the process, reaching the milestone in his 96th ODI innings. The record was previously held by Hashim Amla, who achieved the feat in 101 innings.

However, to remain on top of the rankings at the conclusion of the series, Pakistan will need to clean sweep it by winning the fifth and final ODI on Sunday.
