ICC T20 WC: Former India coach Gary Kirsten and Australia legend Dan Christian have been added to their coaching staff for the four-week tournament. The Netherlands got a boost with this news on the eve of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The Progress in the Super 12 Phase of the event:-
The Dutch side has been placed in Group A along with the United Arab Emirates, Namibia, and Sri Lanka in the first round of the T20 World Cup and needs to finish in the top two spots in the group to progress to the Super 12 stage of the event.

And they’ll have a pair of familiar faces helping them in their quest with Kirsten and Christian to work alongside head coach Ryan Cook and captain Scott Edwards.
His Playing credentials 39-Year-Old:-
While Christian is yet to resume the same coaching as Kirsten, his playing credentials are pretty impressive with the 39-year-old.
who has played 23 T20Is and 20 ODIs for Australia and previously won nine domestic T20 titles across the world?
Christian has not played for his country since playing the T20 International against Bangladesh in Mirpur last year.
He adapted the Dutch camp to those conditions:-
But the all-rounder has a lot of experience playing in Australia. And is helping the Dutch camp adapt to the conditions he is likely to face. Those three group games in the Victorian town of Geelong.
“I’ve had a couple of weeks to get to knowing people. And I’ve been very impressed by the work ethic of everyone in practice,” Christian says.
“I look forward to seeing him have some well-deserved success on the field.”

The Netherlands’ first match in the T20 World Cup is against the UAE at Kardinia Park on 16 October. Before they take on Namibia (18 October) and Sri Lanka (20 October) later in the same week.
