ICC T20 WC Umpires: ICC has released the list of 16 umpires for the T20 World Cup, and only a few days are left for the start of the T20 World Cup 2022. Meanwhile, the big news has come out.
ICC Lists 16 Umpires for T20 World Cup:-
The ICC has released the list of 16 umpires for the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia. According to this, Nitin Menon will be India’s only umpire in this mega sporting event.

The Match Officials Announced for T20 World Cup 2022
Nitin Menon is the lone Indian in the elite panel of ICC umpires and has reached Australia for the T20 tournament.
Significantly, the ICC issued a statement announcing the officials for the first round and the Super 12 stage of the tournament and said that a total of 16 umpires would officiate in the tournament.
In fact, Richard Kettleborough, Nitin Menon, Kumar Dharmasena, and Marais Erasmus officiated in 2021 final when Australia won the first T20 World Cup.
There will be four referees in ICC tournaments:-
Let us tell you that Ranjan Madugalle, the chief referee of the ICC Panel of Match Referees, is also one of the four former international cricketers who will be match referees.
These include Madugalle along with Andrew Pycroft of Zimbabwe, Christopher Broad of England, and David Boon of Australia.
Pycroft will be the referee for the first-round match between Sri Lanka and Namibia on 16 October while Joel Wilson and Rodney Tucker will officiate. Paul Reiffel will be the TV umpire and Erasmus will be the fourth umpire.
Erasmus, Tucker, and Dal’s seventh World Cup
This will be the seventh T20 World Cup between South Africa’s Erasmus, Australia’s Rod Tucker, and Pakistan’s Aleem Dar. The match officials for the semi-finals and final will be announced later, the ICC said.
The World Cup will start on October 16
It is worth noting that this time the World Cup is being organized by the ICC in Australia. It will start on 16 October and its final match will be played on 13 November.
In the first round, eight teams will play group matches and out of which four winning teams will qualify for the Super 12 stage.
