ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier 2022, six teams of U19 Women from Nepal, United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Bhutan, Qatar, and host country Malaysia will be held on two grounds from June 3 to June 9, 2022.

ICC U19 Women’s T20: Namely, Malaysians are ready to sweat under the sun at the Kinrara Oval and the YSD-UKM Oval. They vie for an available spot in the inaugural ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023.

Our mission is to take ourselves to the World Cup:-

Thailand’s captain, Thipacha Puthawong, “Some of our team members have been practicing for two years, and our mission is to take ourselves to the World Cup.”

“It is important for us to win, we are working hard and we hope for a good result to qualify for the World Cup,” said Nepal’s Kiran Kunwar exuding confidence.

ICC U19 Women’s T20: Malaysia’s Elsa Hunter is as confident as she said “the team has come a long way, we have prepared well and we have the potential to go to the World Cup”.

Team UAE captain Theerth Satish believes that his team has a good chance of qualifying for the World Cup. “We will not focus on the other teams, but we will take it ball by ball. And we will make sure we come out strong”.

The team is here to gain experience:-

Qatar’s Saatchi Dhadwal “The team is here to gain experience. We are a new team and this is a big opportunity for us (to play in this qualifier). We will go one step at a time.”

ICC U19 Women’s T20: Bhutan captain Ngawang Choden said his team “has not got much time to practice”. Nonetheless, “we’ll give it our best”.
