ICC Women’s T20 World Cup: Northern Districts wicketkeeper Bernadine Bezuidenhout returns to the White Ferns for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa.
The 29-year-old returns to the WHITE FERNS squad after a two-year break from cricket to focus on recovering from RED-S (relative lack of energy in sport), a condition that affects many female Kiwi athletes.

The only change is the inclusion of former South Africa international in the squad that faces Bangladesh in three T20Is and three ODIs in December, missing wicketkeeper Jess McFadden.
Bezuidenhout has impressed since returning to the field this summer, scoring his second List-A century for Northern Districts in the opening weekend of the Halliburton Johnstone Shield.
Earned selection for the New Zealand XI that faced Bangladesh in a one-day and T20I match. -an up match in November.
White Ferns head coach Ben Sauer said Bezuidenhout would bring a lot of skill and experience to the White Ferns group.
“She has been on quite the journey this season in her return to cricket and we are really looking forward to welcoming her back to the White Ferns environment.”
