ILT20 2023: ILT20 Figures Will Not Be Included in The Player’s T20 Record

ILT20 2023: ILT20 figures will not be included in the player’s T20 record. After the success of the Indian Premier League, T20 leagues are being organized in many countries.

IPL franchises are also investing money in the league:-

Recently many International Leagues are about to start and in many leagues, IPL franchises are also investing money in the league.

At the same time, ICC has implemented many rules in International League T20 (UAE). From now on no player’s figures in ILT20 will be formally added to T20 Records.

ICC rules stated that T20 league competitions by non-members would not be added to List A cricket.

At the same time, no special exemption will be given for the Arab Emirates League starting at the end of this month.

Nothing to do with T20 cricket:-

While giving examples, the ICC said that such as Andre Russell scoring a century in 20 balls or Trent Boult taking 10 wickets in an inning for the MI Emirates, then these figures will be kept in another column.

He will have nothing to do with T20 cricket. At the same time, no T20 world record can be broken in this league.

An ICC source has told The Cricketer that the UAE ILT20 has got the nod from the ICC. However, this league has not been kept at par with T20 cricket.

Whereas ILT20 cannot meet the norms. If the ICC would have kept ILT20 at par with T20 cricket, it too could have joined the world’s big leagues. Although many leagues have faced this type of problem.

The league did not receive this status:-

Prior to ILT, in the year 2018, the Global T20 Canada League also did not get the status of T20 cricket. While big names like Chris Gayle and Steve Smith were also included in that league, even then that league did not get this status.

Although apart from this, the Women’s Fairbreak International League was held in Dubai last year but it too did not get the status of T20 cricket.

The Hundred saw teams and players break T20 International records. And was giving the equivalent of List A T20 fixtures in T20 International fixtures.
