All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the ongoing T20I series against Australia.
He suffered a concussion after which Yuzvendra Chahal replaced him in the playing eleven.
In the 20th over of India’s innings, bowled by Mitchell Starc, Jadeja was hit on the left side of the forehead after the ball ricocheted off his bat.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), in a media release, confirmed about Jadeja’s concussion during the course of the game.

The 31-year-old is also recovering from a hamstring injury that he suffered while batting.
Jadeja’s contribution with the bat turned out to be a vital one in the context of the match as his unbeaten 23-ball 44 guided the Men in Blue over the 160-run mark.
The leg-spinner picked up the three wickets of Aaron Finch, Steve Smith and Matthew Wade and turned the course of the contest with his magical spell of 4-0-25-3.
In the meantime, Team India have added Shardul Thakur to the T20I squad for the remaining two games.
The speedster was a part of the ODI squad and played the last match in Canberra where he picked three wickets, including that of Smith, who was the Player of the Series.
The second T20I is scheduled to be played on Sunday, December 6 at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground.
In the first game, India found themselves in a fair bit of trouble, losing wickets in the middle overs. However, Jadeja and KL Rahul, who scored a fifty, guided the team to the respectable score.
