IND vs ENG, 1st T20: India defeated England by 50 runs in the first match of the three-match T20 series played in Southampton. Batting first after winning the toss, India scored 198 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.

Hardik Pandya played a brilliant innings of 51 runs. In reply, England’s team reduced to 148 runs in 19.3 overs. After batting, Hardik also made a splash in the bowling and took four wickets for 33 runs in his quota of four overs. He was also given the Player of the Match Award.

Hardik Pandya became the first Indian player to do this :-

Hardik became the first Indian player to score 50 plus runs and take four wickets in a T20 International. With this win, Team India has gone 1-0 up in the T20I series. Rohit has become the first captain in the world to win 13 consecutive T20Is.

Team India also avenged the defeat in the Edgbaston Test. The second T20 between India and England will play in Birmingham on Saturday. Indian senior players will return in the second T20. Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant will return in this match.

IND vs ENG: Poor start of Team India :-

Electing to bat after winning the toss, the start of the Indian team was not good. Team India got the first blow on the total score of 29. Captain Rohit Sharma dismissed for 24 runs in 14 balls with the help of five fours.

After this, Ishan Kishan also dismissed after scoring eight runs in 10 balls. Both of them sent to the pavilion by spinner Moeen Ali. After this Deepak Hooda hit some good shots. However, he dismissed for 33 runs in 17 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes.

Middle order handled the innings :-

Suryakumar shared a 37-run partnership with Hardik Pandya for the fourth wicket. Surya dismissed for 39 runs in 19 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes. Axar Patel dismissed for 17 runs off 12 balls, Dinesh Karthik 11 runs off 7 balls and Harshal Patel got 3 runs in 6 balls.

During this, Hardik scored the first half-century of his T20 International career. He dismissed for 51 runs off 33 balls with the help of six fours and a six.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar remained unbeaten on one run and Arshdeep Singh scored two runs. Moeen Ali and Chris Jordan took two wickets each for England. Apart from this, Reece Topley, Tymal Mills and Parkinson got one wicket each.

IND vs ENG: Very bad start for the English team :-

Chasing the target of 199 runs, the start of the English team was very poor. The team had lost four wickets for 33 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave the first blow to England. He clean bowled the newly appointed England captain Jos Buttler in the very first over of the innings.

Butler could not even open the account. After this Hardik Pandya’s fire was seen. He took two wickets in the fifth over.

Hardik Pandya broke the back of England batting lineup :-

Hardik clean bowled David Malan on the second ball of the fifth over. Malan could score 21 runs in 14 balls. After this, Liam Livingstone caught by wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik on the last ball of the over.

Livingstone could not even open the account. After this, Hardik got Jason Roy caught by Harshal Patel. Roy dismissed for four runs off 16 balls.

England batsmen caught in Yuzvendra Chahal’s spin :-

Yuzvendra Chahal stunned after Hardik’s performance. He sent Harry Brooke and Moeen Ali to the pavilion in the 13th over. Chahal got Brooke caught by Suryakumar Yadav. Brooke dismissed off 23 balls with two fours and a six.

At the same time, Chahal got Moin stumped by wicketkeeper Karthik. Moeen dismissed for 36 runs off 20 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes.

IND vs ENG: Harshal dismisses Mills :-

After Moeen was dismissed, Hardik got Sam Karan caught by wicketkeeper Karthik. Karan got out after scoring four runs. At the same time, Harshal Patel caught Tymal Mills on his own ball. Mills could score seven runs.

Arshdeep Singh then took the first wicket on his international debut. He got Reece Topley caught by wicketkeeper Karthik.

England’s innings was reduced to 148 runs :-

Arshdeep caught Matthew Parkinson at the hands of Deepak Hooda to bundle out England’s innings for 148 runs. Chris Jordan remained unbeaten on 26. Hardik Pandya took four wickets for India. At the same time, Arshdeep and Chahal got two wickets each. Apart from this, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel got one wicket each.
