IND vs ENG 1st T20: VVS Laxman can become the coach of Team India in the first T20 International against England (Ind vs Eng 5th T20).
A T20I and ODI series from 7 to 17 July:-
England will host India in a T20I and ODI series (Ind vs Eng T20 Series) from 7 to 17 July.
The three T20s will be played on July 7, 9, and 10, while the 50-over matches will be played on July 12, 14, and 17.

The selection committee retained the team for the match:-
Since the first T20 match is to be held two days after the end of the current fifth Test match, the selection committee has retained the team for the match.
Rohit Sharma is not a part of the Test match and will be available from the first T20 match itself. The first-choice players will return from the second T20I and play the entire series.
Laxman, who coached Team India in two T20 matches against Ireland, has indicated to continue as the coach of Team India in the first match of the series.

Like the players, head coach Rahul Dravid may also be resting for the opening T20Is. Laxman is also being helped by staff members like Sairaj Bahtule, Sitanshu Kotak, and Munish Bali.
