IND vs ENG, 3rd ODI, Hardik Pandya: India beat England by five wickets in the third ODI. With this win, Team India also won the ODI series 2-1.

Rishabh Pant’s brilliant batting and Hardik Pandya’s all-round performance won the match for India. Hardik played an innings of 77 runs in 55 balls in the match. Apart from this, he also took four wickets.

IND vs ENG: Hardik made many records in his name in the match :-

Hardik also made many records in his name in the match. He became the fifth player for India to score more than 50 runs and take four or more wickets in an ODI.

Before Hardik. Srikkanth, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Yuvraj Singh have done so. However, barring Hardik, everyone else has done so on Asian pitches. Hardik is the first Indian player to have made this record outside Asia. Ganguly and Yuvraj did this twice each.

IND vs ENG: Became the first fourth player to do so in England :-

Hardik Pandya is the fourth player to score more than 50 runs and take four or more wickets in an ODI in England. Before him, Zimbabwe’s Duncan Fletcher (1983) and Neil Johnson (1999) and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan (2019) have done so.

Hardik Pandya is only the second player to do so against England. Before him, Sri Lanka’s Aravind de Silva had scored 50 or more runs against England at the Sydney Cricket Ground and took four or more wickets.

IND vs ENG: Achieved this achievement in all three formats :-

Hardik has done this not only in ODIs but also in an innings of Tests and T20 Internationals. He scored an unbeaten 52 in an innings against England in the Nottingham Test in 2018 and took five wickets for 28 runs.

Apart from this, on the tour of England in the same year, he scored 51 runs against England in Southampton T20 and took four wickets for 33 runs. Hardik has made this record against England in all three formats. Hardik Pandya is only the second cricketer after Pakistan’s Mohammad Hafeez to achieve this feat in all three formats.

Talking about the match, while batting first, England were bundled out for 259 runs in 45.5 overs. In reply, India had lost four wickets for 72 runs at one point.

After this, Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant put on a 133-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Hardik Pandya scored 71 runs in 55 balls. At the same time, Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten on 125 runs in 113 balls. India achieved the target of 260 runs in the 43rd over.
