Several Indian supporters alleged incidents of racial abuse during the fourth day’s play of the Edgbaston Test. England team won this match and leveled the series 2-2.
Birmingham Police’s statement :-
IND vs ENG: “A 32-year-old man has been arrested for the offense of racially violating public order following reports of racist, abusive behavior at a Test match in Birmingham on Monday,” Birmingham Police said in a statement.
ECB and WCCC launched an investigation into the incident :-
The incident has launched by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Warwickshire County Cricket Club following complaints of racial abuse by Indian fans on the fourth day of the final Test.

IND vs ENG: Decided to deploy football crowd-style spotters :-
To deal with such cases further; Warwickshire decided to deploy ‘football crowd-style spotters’ during the second T20 International to be played at Edgbaston Stadium. These officers will inform about such incidents.
Earlier, England captain Ben Stokes had defended his side amid allegations of racism with the audience. He said that there is no place for racism in sports.
