IND vs ENG ODI Series: Rohit hits back at Kapil Dev’s statement of Dropping Kohli from the team
IND vs ENG ODI Series: Rohit Sharma’s retort on Kapil Dev’s statement to drop Virat Kohli from the team, said- ‘He doesn’t know anything. Virat Kohli has been unsuccessful in both the T20 matches played between India and England (IND vs ENG).
Many experts including Kapil Dev are raising questions:-
His place in the team is now being questioned by many experts including former India captain Kapil Dev.

But Rohit Sharma on Kapil Dev has decided to stand by Kohli in his most difficult times. Rohit has dismissed Kapil Dev’s comments on replacing Kohli in the Indian T20 (IND vs ENG 2nd T20) team.
Rohit said that Kapil Dev is watching the game from the outside and he does not know what is happening inside.
Referring to Kapil Dev’s statement, he said:-

We build our team and there is a lot of thought behind it. Rohit support boys and give them opportunities.
So you do not know these things from the outside. So, whatever is happening outside is not important, but what is happening inside is more important to us.”
“Everyone goes through ups and downs when it comes to forming. The quality of the player is not affected. So we should keep these things in mind.
His Past Performances should not be overlooked:-
When a player is doing well for so many years, one or two bad series doesn’t make him a bad player. We should not ignore his past performances.
We who are in the team know the importance of the player. They have every right to talk about it but it doesn’t mean much to us.

Let us tell you that Kapil Dev had said that if a bowler of the caliber of spinner Ravichandran Ashwin can be dropped from the Test team, then why not Virat Kohli. Ashwin did not play a single match in the recently concluded five-match Test series against England.
