IND vs ENG Test: Root-Bairstow partnership spoils India’s game, Eng needs 119 runs to win on Day 5

IND vs ENG Test: The fourth day of the Edgbaston Test is over. The England team has strengthened its grip in this test. In reply to the target of 378 runs, England scored 259 runs for the loss of three wickets. The English team has to score 119 runs on the fifth day. At the same time, India need seven wickets.

Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow best batting in England’s second innings :-

Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow are batting well in England’s second innings. So far 150 runs partnership has been made between the two for the fifth wicket. Bairstow returned unbeaten on 72 and Root 76.

For India, captain Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets in the second innings. He sent Jack Crowley (46) and Ollie Pope (0) to the pavilion. At the same time, Alex Lees run out.

India scored 245 runs in their second innings :-

In this fifth Test against England, India scored 416 runs in the first innings. In response, England’s team was reduced to 284 runs and India got a lead of 132 runs. India scored 245 runs in their second innings. In this way England got the target of 378 runs.

IND vs ENG: On Monday, the Indian team was reduced by adding 120 runs :-

Earlier, in the second innings, India started playing at 125 for three wickets on Monday and the team was all out after adding 120 runs. Pujara got out after scoring 66 runs. In India’s second innings, Shubman Gill 4 runs, Hanuma Vihari 11 runs, Virat Kohli 20 runs, Shreyas Iyer 19 runs, Ravindra Jadeja 23 runs, Shardul Thakur 4 runs, Mohammed Shami 13 runs and captain Jasprit Bumrah 7 runs.

Mohammad Siraj remained unbeaten on two runs. Captain Ben Stokes took the maximum four wickets for England. At the same time, Stuart Broad and Matty Potts took two wickets each. James Anderson and Jack Leach got one wicket each.

IND vs ENG: England chased down the target of 378 runs in a brilliant manner :-

Chasing the target of 378 runs, the England team got off to a great start. The team had scored 100 runs in 21 overs. Jack Crawley and Alex Lees shared a 107-run partnership for the first wicket.

Lees scored the second half-century of his Test career. The match turned in the 22nd over and Jasprit Bumrah clean bowled Crowley. Crowley dismissed after scoring 46 runs.

After the T-break, Bumrah dismissed Ollie Pope on the very first ball :-

Then came the T-break. On returning from the tee break, Bumrah got Ollie Pope caught by wicketkeeper Pant on the very first ball. Pope could not even open the account. After this, Alex Lees run out in the very next over.

He was dismissed for 56 runs in 65 balls. After the fall of three wickets, Root and Bairstow batted tremendously and did not let a single wicket fall. The day on Tuesday is going to be important for India.

IND vs ENG: England were reduced to 284 runs in the first innings :-

India bundled out England for 284 in the first innings. The England team had a poor start in the first innings. Indian captain Jasprit Bumrah gave England the first three blows. He sent Alex Lees (6), Jack Crowley (9) and Ollie Pope (10) to the pavilion. Joe Root then shared a 34-run partnership with Jonny Bairstow.

He caught by Mohammad Shami at the hands of wicketkeeper Pant. Stokes shared a 66-run partnership for the sixth wicket with Jonny Bairstow.

Stokes dismissed after scoring 25 runs. Bairstow then put on a 91-run partnership for the seventh wicket with Sam Billings. Meanwhile, Bairstow scored the 11th century of his Test career. This was his third consecutive century in Tests. Bairstow caught by Mohammad Shami at the hands of Virat Kohli.

IND vs ENG: Brilliant batting by Bairstow :-

Bairstow could score 106 runs. Siraj then wrapped up England’s innings by sending Billings, Stuart Broad and Matty Potts to the pavilion.

Anderson remained unbeaten on six runs. Siraj took the maximum four wickets for India. At the same time, Bumrah took three and Shami took two wickets. Shardul Thakur gets a wicket.
