Former India cricketer Ravi Shastri has backed Rahul Tripathi to debut for India on this tour. The two-match T20 series will be played at Castle Avenue in Dublin.

After a stellar performance in the Indian Premier League 2022 season, Indian batsman Rahul Tripathi has been named in the first India Indian squad to tour Ireland.

The Scored 413 runs at an impressive strike rate:-

Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, he scored 413 runs in 14 matches at an average of 37.5 and an impressive strike rate of 158.23.

The right-handed batsman has consistently performed well over the years. Despite this, he was not included in the Indian T20I squad for the South Africa series at home. However, he is likely to make his India debut against Ireland.

Tripathi is not much impressed by the opposition:-

Speaking to ESPN Cricinfo, former India cricketer Ravi Shastri expressed that Rahul Tripathi doesn’t get overly impressed by the opposition. He also said that the right-handed batsman keeps the scoreboard moving.

Shastri said, “When he is at the crease, the scoreboard is moving. He does not go after the edged ball. The ability to make shots and the all-rounder that he has is not affected by any opposition or any bowler.

He’s scoring at a great pace, you know, which is tremendous for No 3 because he sets up his innings beautifully.”
