During Ireland’s innings, the Irish batsmen scored 18 runs in the first over of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. This is the first time in the history of T20 cricket that the Indian team has conceded 18 runs in the first over of the innings.
This was the costliest first over for India in T20. Earlier, England scored 17 runs in the first over against India at Birmingham in 2014 and West Indies at Lauderhill in 2016.
Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson played the best innings :-
Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson played excellent innings for Team India in this match. Hooda scored his first century of T20 International career. He scored 104 runs in 57 balls with the help of nine fours and six sixes.
Deepak Hooda is the fourth batsman to score a century for India in T20 Internationals. Before him, Rohit Sharma (four centuries), KL Rahul (two centuries) and Suresh Raina (one century) have scored centuries.
At the same time, Samson scored the first half-century of T20 International career. Samson scored 77 runs in 42 balls with the help of nine fours and four sixes.

This is the highest partnership for the second wicket in overall T20Is. Both of them broke the record set by Jos Buttler and David Malan of England in 2020. Butler and Malan then shared a 167-run stand for England against South Africa in Cape Town for the second wicket.
This is also the biggest partnership for India in T20. Earlier this record was in the name of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The two shared a 138-run partnership for the second wicket against South Africa in Dharamsala in 2015.
