IND vs NZ 1st ODI: Mohammad Shami is out of the field due to an injury in the middle of the match. In the first ODI match between India and New Zealand (IND vs NZ), Team India set a big target of 350 runs in 50 overs against New Zealand.

Shubman Gill scored a brilliant double-century. However, India suffered a major setback in this match.

The team’s leading fast bowler Mohammad Shami had gone out due to injury. After this, Shami clean bowled Glen Phillips on the third ball of 24 overs.

Pacer Shami got injured in the 7th over of the innings. He bowled to Finn Allen who played it down the front and the ball came very quickly toward Shami.

Shami tried to catch in the following throw, but the ball hit the thumb of his left hand. Immediately after this the physio was called and Shami was taken out.

Earlier, India’s opener Shubman Gill created history by scoring a double century in the first ODI.

Shubman continued his excellent form and completed his double century (Shubman Gill Double Century) in 145 balls. He hit 19 fours and 9 sixes during his innings of 208 runs.

Young Player’s record of scoring a double century:-

He has now also become the highest scorer against New Zealand. At the same time, Gill also broke the record of Ishaan Kishan’s youngest player to score a double century with his double century.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bat first. Apart from Gill, Rohit failed, he returned to the pavilion after scoring 34 runs. Rohit hit 2 sixes in this innings.

Virat Kohli came in the middle order for 8 and Ishaan Kishan went on to score 5 runs. Suryakumar Yadav got out after scoring 31 runs. India scored 349 runs after losing 8 wickets in 50 overs.
