INDIA Squad NZ Series: India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja looks all set to make a comeback in Team India. He is present at the National Cricket Academy for the fitness test. At the same time, Jadeja has to have the Yo-Yo test and the Dexa test in NCA. If all goes well after this test, then Ravindra Jadeja can be selected for India vs New Zealand ODI series.

Jadeja is currently present at NCA for a fitness test

A senior BCCI official said, “Jadeja is already fine. He is currently present at NCA for a fitness test. Once his fitness test is done, he will get permission to play from NCA. If he is available for selection, he should come back for the New Zealand series.”

That Jadeja is out after Asia Cup 2022. Because he got an injury during this tournament. After which he immediately returned to Mumbai for knee surgery. However, even after the surgery, he is recovering well.

India New Zealand selection meeting

  • The selectors will speak to NCA chief VVS Laxman on Ravindra Jadeja’s injury.
  • Jadeja’s return is certain after getting the green signal from the NCA.
  • The selectors will pick the ODI and T20 squads for the New Zealand series starting January 18.
  • The selectors will discuss whether Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli should play T20s or not.
  • No senior player is likely to be considered for the T20I series against New Zealand.
