Rejecting these allegations, the MPCA argued in the High Court that the petition was filed only on the basis of a news item published in an evening daily.

Justice SA Dharmadhikari and Justice Prakashchandra Gupta of the Indore bench of the High Court dismissed the petition on January 18 after considering the arguments of both parties.
