India has never won a home T20 series:-
IND vs SA 5th T20: The Indian cricket team has never won a home T20 series against South Africa before. For the first time, a 5-match T20 series is being played between the two teams.
Earlier, the South African team visited India twice, but India could not win the series both times. Both the teams which are tied 2 – 2 would like to win the series by winning the last match.
If India wins the series, Rishabh Pant as captain will be the first captain to win a T20 home series against South Africa.
South Africa tour of India 2022:-
For the first time – 2015 / 2016 – South Africa came to India to play a 3-match T20 series. South Africa won it 2-0.
Second time – 2019 / 2020 – South Africa came to India for the second time to play the 3-match T20 series. The series ended in a 1-1 draw.
Third time* – 2022 – 2-2, the decider will be played on June 19.
