Prasidh Krishna Included in Indian Squad

Karnataka pacer Prasidh Krishna included in the Indian squad for the fourth Test against England starting on Thursday (September 2). The decision took following a request from the Indian team management. BCCI said in a statement on the eve of the game.

Prasidh Krishna was one of the standby players on the five-Test tour. and has been training and traveling with the team since the start of the tour. Uncapped in Tests, the Prasidh Krishna made his India debut in the home series against England in March this year. And has played only three ODIs for the country so far.

Jadeja Batted in India’s Second Innings:

Ravindra Jadeja’s knee injury is not a cause for serious concern. And the all-rounder will be available for selection. India’s only spinner used so far in the series, Jadeja injured his knee while attempting to field during England’s only innings at Headingley Test. Which the hosts won by an innings and a total of 72 runs. Jadeja, however, bowled and batted in India’s second innings after a subsequent scare. On the fourth morning after the trial was over, the all-rounder was taken for a precautionary scan to determine the extent of the damage.

The fourth Test will be at The Oval, London in which the series will be tied at 1-1.
