IPL 2022 Schedule: IPL 2022 (Indian Premier League) will start from the last week of March, it was confirmed by the Board (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah himself.

The Consideration to Start from 26 March:-

The board wanted to start the tournament on March 27, but now it is being considered to start it a day earlier i.e. from March 26.

Actually, Broadcast Star wants IPL 2022 to start from 26th March. This is the reason why BCCI has not yet released the IPL Schedule (IPL 2022 Date and Time).

Cricbuzz quoted the conventions as saying – Star wants IPL 2022 to start with a double-header.

Mostly a single match is played with the opening ceremony, so the idea is to have double header matches on the next day of the opening match. March 27 is a Sunday, and in this situation, double-header matches cannot be played on March 28.

The IPL 15th Season Begins:-

That’s why Star wants the 15th season of IPL to start on March 26 i.e. Saturday, and the next day i.e. on Sunday, March 27, double-header matches should be played. This is the reason why BCCI has not yet released the schedule.

The start of IPL 2022 on Saturday will give a bang for the broadcast channel. The first season 3 match of the league will be useful for them with a double header on Sunday.

If the season starts on Sunday, March 27, then it is unlikely to happen. BCCI and broadcast channel Star are discussing whether the league can be started on 26 March.

IPL 2022 Schedule: When will the IPL 2022 schedule be announced?
There should be permission between BCCI and Star as to when the league should start.

The opening of the league should be played on 26 March i.e. Saturday or on 27 March as per the earlier schedule. With the final decision regarding this, BCCI will announce the schedule.

The Officially IPL Venues:-

The BCCI has not made any official announcement regarding the venue of the IPL. In the result regarding the venue, the situation of the spread of corona infection will be taken into account. The BCCI is contemplating to organize it in the Maharashtra cities of Pune and Mumbai.

The Mumbai Cricket Association has earmarked four grounds for the event, namely Wankhede, DY Patil Stadium, Pune Ground, and Brabourne.

Matches can be played here, but the biggest problem is where the players of 10 teams will practice, how will their facilities be prepared. It is reported that MCA is preparing a plan regarding this.
