IND vs SA T20 Series: The T20 series against South Africa will be the last chance for Bhuvneshwar Kumar. His form has been fluctuating in the last two years due to injury.
New bowlers Umran Malik and T Natarajan:-
Seeing this form of his, the team selectors are turning to new bowlers Umran Malik and T Natarajan. The selectors are considering Umran Malik and T Natarajan as better options for the T20 World Cup.
IND vs SA T20 Series: A member of the BCCI selection committee said, “Definitely, this will be an important T20 series for Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The direct reason for this is competition.
He will continue to be a valuable member of the ODI team but will face a lot of competition from youngsters in the T20s. Umran is an exciting talent, and Natarajan is also recovering from injury. So, let’s see what happens next.”
Amazing bowling in the death overs for Hyderabad:-
Although Bhuvneshwar Kumar has bowled amazingly in the death overs for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022, his competition is quite strong.
Umran Malik has already become a topic of discussion in the country with his fast bowling. Apart from Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, T Natarajan, Mohsin Khan, and Mohammad Siraj are also involved in the fast bowling race.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar did well in IPL 2022. He took 12 wickets in 14 matches at an economy rate of 7.34. He was excellent in the death overs as well.
He will be the only senior fast bowler in the team against South Africa, so a lot will depend on him. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and three other fast bowlers have been rested from this series.
Umran Malik, Arshdeep Singh, and Avesh Khan have been given a chance for this series. Hardik Pandya’s return as an all-rounder will be a big relief for India.
Kumar needs to take more wickets for World Cup:-
Bhuvneshwar Kumar will have to take maximum wickets and give less runs for the World Cup. The big reason is that India can take only 16 players for the T20 World Cup and if they don’t perform well they can miss out on the World Cup.
IND vs SA T20 Series: “It is always a difficult task when you have so many fast bowling options and you can only pick a 16-man squad.
Hardik’s return to bowling gives us balance. But a lot will depend on how Bhuvneshwar performs in the next few series.
