IND vs SL 1st T20: India Won The First T20 Match by 62 Runs

IND vs SL 1st T20: India won the first T20 match by 62 runs, the first match of the three T20 match series between India and Sri Lanka was played at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Thursday.

A Decided To Bowl First:-

Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, India scored 199 runs for the loss of 2 wickets.

Chasing the target of 00 runs, the Sri Lankan team could only manage 137 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.

India won the first T20I rivalry by 62 runs. Ishan Kishan was adjudged the player of the match for his quick half-century.

Ishan-Shreyas Played a Brilliant Innings:-

Batting first after losing the toss, India got off to a great start. There was a partnership of 111 runs for the first wicket between openers Rohit and Ishaan.

Ishaan played brilliant innings of 89 runs in 56 balls. While captain Rohit Sharma scored 44 runs in 32 balls. Shreyas Iyer, who came to bat at number three, made a slow start to his innings.

But later he too became aggressive. Iyer scored an unbeaten 57 off 28 balls. On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 3 runs in 4 balls. Dasun Shanaka and Lahiru Kumara took 1-1 wickets for Sri Lanka.

Charith Aslanka Playing a Half-Century Innings:-

Chasing the target of 200 runs, Sri Lanka got off to a poor start. Bhuvneshwar Kumar walks Pathum Nisanka off the first ball. The second wicket of the guest fell in the form of Kamil Mishara.

Kamil Mishara returned to the pavilion after scoring 13 runs. After this, Zenith Lianage scored 11, Dinesh Chandimal 10, captain Dasun Shanaka scored 3 and Chamika Karunaratne scored 21 runs.

Charith Aslanka 53 and Dushmantha Chamira remained unbeaten on 24. For India, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Venkatesh Iyer took 2-2 wickets while Ravindra Jadeja and Yuzvendra Chahal took 1-1 wickets.
