IND vs SL T20 Series: Injured Rohit Sharma ruled out of T20 series against Sri Lanka. Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the T20 series (IND vs SL T20 Series) against Sri Lanka to be played in January next year due to injury.
All-rounder Hardik Pandya can lead India:-
And according to BCCI sources, star all-rounder Hardik Pandya can lead India. The second and third matches of the series will be held in Pune (January 5) and Rajkot (January 7).

At the same time, it is being said that Rohit Sharma’s thumb injury may take more time to heal. However, it is not clear whether he will step down from T20 captaincy or the matter has been put on hold for the time being.
While it is clear since India’s T20 World Cup semi-final exit in Australia that there will be a change of guard once the new selection committee takes over, no formal announcement has been made yet.

Also, despite speculations, it can be confirmed that there was no discussion on India’s T20 captaincy in the Apex Council meeting.
A BCCI official told PTI on the condition of anonymity, “This matter was not even on the agenda of the Apex Council, due to which it was not discussed in the meeting. Only the selection committee can take the captaincy decision.”
However, India’s T20 format can be completely redesigned and Hardik Pandya can be given the command of Team India.
Pandya has worked for Gujarat Titans in the IPL to get the title in his debut season itself.
Rohit was hurt during the second ODI:-
Rohit suffering an injury during the second ODI against Bangladesh. After which he was ruling out of the Test series and KL Rahul was handed over the captaincy in his place.
