IND vs WI 2022: Shikhar Dhawan’s team hit the indoor nets due to rain in Trinidad, Team India landed in Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday (July 20) and hit the indoor nets at the Queen’s Park Oval as rain disrupted their first training session in the Caribbean.
The team was forced to go indoors:-
Hosts West Indies completed their practice and nets in the sun but Shikhar Dhawan’s team was forced to go indoors.

Shubman Gill informed about things from Trinidad in a video shared by BCCI. Gill spoke of the plan being disrupted and concerned with whatever is available.
In a little over 24 hours, the Rohit Sharma-less Indian side will lock horns with hosts West Indies in the ODI opener in Trinidad.
IND vs WI 2022: Despite the lack of big stars like Rohit, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant in the batting department, the team is spoiled for options.
There are four possible options as an opener who can partner with skipper Shikhar Dhawan at the top.

The Indian team had left the United Kingdom for Trinidad, which is experiencing its hottest summer ever, and landed on a rainy Caribbean island. Hence, the team management decided to use the indoor facilities for the upcoming games.
“As we have just arrived from the UK, we thought it would be good to do (outdoor) practice sessions. But it started raining.
IND vs WI 2022: So, it is always better to knock at indoor facilities rather than not having sessions,” opener Shubman Gill tweeted by BCCI in the video.
The Certain things we like to play underarm ball:-
“It was a good session because we got to do certain things like play underarm balls,” Gill said.
Gill said players are waiting for a chance to play a good white-ball team like the West Indies. “I am feeling great.
And we are all really excited and really excited about these three ODIs. We think it will be a good series,” said Gill.

The three ODIs of the series will be played in Trinidad from July 22 to 27 at the Queen’s Park Oval here.
The ODI series will be followed by a five-match T20I series from July 29 to August 7, with the last two matches scheduled to be held in the United States.
