IND vs WI 2nd ODI: Axar’s brilliant batting, a pleasant aspect for India :-

Axar’s scintillating batting is a pleasant aspect for India. Apart from them, Sanju Samson, Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill also batted brilliantly. The special thing is that the place of any of these players is not confirmed in the main team.

But when given the opportunity, these players are doing amazing. It is clear from this that India’s bench strength is very strong and Team India will get the benefit of it in big tournaments.

Caribbean team scored 311 runs, Pooran-Hope added 117 runs :-

Batting first, the West Indies opening pair added 65 runs. After that it was clear that the Caribbean team is going to score big. However, the Windies team looked in trouble after falling for three wickets for 130 runs.

For the fourth wicket, Shai Hope and captain Pooran shared a 117-run partnership to take West Indies far ahead in the match. For this reason, the team scored 311 runs. A bigger score than this was chased only twice in West Indies soil. In such a situation, India’s victory seemed certain.

IND vs WI: India’s top order flopped under the pressure of a big target :-

India’s top order failed under the pressure of a big target and three wickets had fallen for the score of 79. West Indies’ victory seemed certain, but Shreyas Iyer and Sanju Samson shared a 99-run partnership to bring India back.

After Shreyas’s dismissal, Sanju also returned to the pavilion and Team India was in trouble by losing wickets at regular intervals. In such a situation, Akshar started batting aggressively from one end and scored 64 runs in 35 balls to win the match for India.

How was the performance of both the captains?

India’s captain Shikhar Dhawan’s performance was nothing special in this match. He scored just 13 runs in 31 balls. There were no fours or sixes involved. At the same time, even during bowling, he could not use his players properly and West Indies scored a score of more than 300.

This match was good for West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran. He scored 74 runs in 77 balls with the first bat. After this, by using their bowlers properly, they had almost won, but Axar turned the match.

IND vs WI: Positive aspects in the match for India :-

Siraj bowled brilliantly. He did not get wickets, but he put pressure on the Caribbean batsmen and Shardul took advantage of this and took three wickets.

Deepak Hooda and Axar Patel also gave skimpy runs in the middle overs. Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson and Axar Patel did wonders in the batting. Especially Akshar made India win the lost match.

Downside in the match for India :-

Downside: Avesh Khan proved to be very expensive in his first ODI match itself. Shardul Thakur and Chahal also plundered runs. Despite West Indies’ three wickets for 130 runs, India could not stop it within 300. In the powerplay, the bowlers conceded 71 runs and took just one wicket.

The spin bowlers allowed a big partnership between Shai Hope and Pooran in the middle overs. That’s why it got a big score. Captain Dhawan performed very poorly in batting. Suryakumar failed in the second match as well. Hooda and Samson are batting well but are unable to finish the match.

IND vs WI: Positive aspects in the match for West Indies :-

Positive aspect: The West Indies team may have lost both the matches, but both the times the match was fork and the result of the match came in the last over. The Caribbean team has made a good comeback after a clean sweep against Bangladesh.

The results are not in his favor, but the level of his game has improved a lot. Shai Hope scored a century in this match. Pooran batted well. The fast bowlers did wonders in the pitch helping the spin. Wonderful performance by Alzarri Josep and Zaydal Sales.

Downside in the match for West Indies :-

Downside: West Indies team is playing well but players are unable to absorb the pressure at crucial times and are losing matches. The same thing happened in this match. The Caribbean bowlers could not get out Axar Patel in the last overs and lost the match.

Everyone got off to a good start in the batting, but no one could take advantage of it except Shai Hope. Captain Pooran too got out at crucial junctures when he had to score quick runs. Spin bowling was a complete flop.

Akeal Hossain and Hayden Walls spent runs at an economy rate of eight. All the bowlers could not perform well together and the team had to face defeat.
