IND vs WI T20 Series: Andre Russell expressed his desire to play for West Indies. West Indies power hitter Andre Russell has expressed his desire to play for his country.

He may return in the limited-overs series:-

From this, it is speculated that he may return in the limited overs series to be held between India and West Indies (IND vs WI).

The deadly batsmen of the Caribbean team are playing league cricket these days. But recently he has talked about playing for the West Indies.

Russell says that he can leave any league if he gets a chance in the team. He has also expressed his desire to be a part of the India and West Indies series.

Andre Russell is currently playing for the LAA Knight Riders in the ongoing Mega League Cricket (MLC) in the US. But Russell says he is ready to give up league cricket to play for the country.

He told the Jamaica Observer that “I would like to be a part of the next World Cup, for which if they (the team management) include me in the team, it will be special for me. I am also open to playing a few series to make myself available for next year’s World Cup.”

Russell said that “I would like to be a part of the series with India, but no one told me anything, I am just minding my own business.”

He said that “I know how everything works, I have to give up league cricket to play for the West Indies and I am ready for that.

The hard hitter has so far scored 1364 runs in 67 T20 Internationals:-

I am ready to do whatever contribution I can for the country. I am still working hard.

Talking about Russell’s career, this hard hitter has so far scored 1364 runs in 67 T20 International matches and has taken 39 wickets.

At the same time, he has scored 2229 runs in 56 ODI Internationals. In total, he has played 450 T20 matches, in which his strike rate is 167.42.

The second Test match in the India and West Indies series is to be played from 20 July. While the ODI series is to begin on July 27 and the T20 series on August 3.
