West Indies fined
The West Indies team has been fined 20 percent of its match fee for a slow over-rate in the first T20 match against India in Trinidad on Friday. West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran was found guilty of this. Pooran has accepted his mistake.
ICC ruled
The ICC, after taking into account the time allowance, ruled West Indies to be one over short of the target. According to Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Players’ Support Staff, which deals with minimum over-rate offenses, players are fined 20 percent of their match fee if their team fails to bowl in the allotted time.
