India Cricket Jersey Sponsor: Adidas will be Team India’s New Kit Sponsor

Ever since Killer became the sponsor, it was not seen as an ideal match due to not being a company with a cricket background.

The cricket board was keen to get it right:-

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was also keen to rectify this and that is probably all set to change now.

The previous sponsor, Mobile Premier League (MPL), pulled out of the deal early and Killer Jeans came in as filler.

Before MPL came on board, Nike had a five-year deal with BCCI during which they paid 370Cr from 2016 to 2020.

Adidas will increase the brand value:-

For the first time since the partnership between BCCI and Nike ended, MPL followed by Killer became the sponsor.

Ever since MPL and Killer became sponsors, questions were raised that these companies had no sporting background.

In such a situation, now with the arrival of adidas, the team’s kit will again get a strong identity kit sponsor and the brand value will also increase worldwide.

Prior to this, adidas was the kit sponsor of the Mumbai Indians and the England cricket team. Captain Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav and Rishabh Pant are brand ambassadors of Adidas in the current Indian team.
