India Playing XI 2nd Test: 3 decisions for Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma
- Shubman Gill or KL Rahul or Suryakumar Yadav?
- KS Bharat or Ishan Kishan?
- Fourth spinner in Kuldeep Yadav?
Iyer is recovering from a back injury
Shreyas is recovering from a back injury and is still at the National Cricket Academy. He hasn’t recovered yet and it will take another week. But his absence has proved to be a boon for Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid.
The team management has to decide which pair will play together. Sitting on the bench in Nagpur with Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and Suryakumar Yadav getting the nod.
Four spinners in Delhi? – Despite having great success with three spinners in Nagpur, India are unlikely to go the four-spinner route. The Arun Jaitley Stadium provides a good batting surface in the first Test and Team India will look to attack through the pacers with the initial breeze. If India loses the toss and bat in the second innings, two seamers and six batsmen will be the minimum. Hence, Kuldeep Yadav will only serve as a backup for the Delhi Test.
