India has won the series by defeating host South Africa by 78 runs in the third ODI. Sanju Samson scored an explosive century in the decisive match played at Boland Park in Paarl. After 8 years of debut, Sanju scored his first century in his international career.

The composure with which Sanju batted on a slow pitch made him a fan of the greats. Former Team India captain Sunil Gavaskar has highly praised this century of Sanju.

Gavaskar called this century of Sanju a game-changer. The former opener of Team India feels that this century of Sanju will change his entire career.

Right-handed batsman Sanju Samson played an inning of 108 runs in 114 balls which included 6 fours and 3 sixes. Sanju was sent to bat at number three. He took full advantage of it.

Sanju along with captain KL Rahul made a partnership of 52 runs for the third wicket, while along with Tilak Verma, he added 116 runs for the fourth wicket.

Tilak Verma was out after scoring 52 runs while KL Rahul contributed 21 runs. Sanju Samson scored a quick 38 runs in 27 balls.
