Indian cricketers including Virat Kohli expressed grief over the Odisha train accident. A major train accident took place in Balasore, Odisha, in which many lives have been lost.

The news of the death of 280 people has come to the fore in this accident caused by three trains colliding with each other, while 900 people have been injured. The death toll may also increase.

This sad news has shaken the entire countrymen. Indian cricketers who are preparing for WTC Final in England are also troubled by this accident.

Cricketers including Virat Kohli tweeted expressing grief over the Odisha train accident.

Team India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli is deeply saddened by the painful train accident in Odisha. Authorities have reported that the horrific three-train accident in Balasore, Odisha has resulted in at least 238 deaths and around 900 injuries.

making it the deadliest rail tragedy to hit the country in more than 20 years.

Virat Kohli is currently preparing for the World Test Championship final 2023 (WTC final 2023) against Australia with the Indian team in London.

According to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, a high-level committee will be constituted to investigate the train accident.

The Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express and a cargo train were involved in the collision.

Virat Kohli on Odisha train accident:-

Kohli sent his thoughts and prayers to the families who lost their loved ones.

“Saddened to hear about the tragic train accident in Odisha. My thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones and wish the injured a speedy recovery,” tweeted Virat Kohli.

In addition, Vaishnav has offered a compensation amount of Rs. 10 lakh to those who died. 2 lakh for the seriously injured, and Rs. 50,000 for those who have suffered minor injuries.

Announcing a compensation of Rs 2 lakh for the family of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured from the PM’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF), Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed grief over the accident.
