He wished the USA Cricket team good luck during Thursday night’s White House dinner.

He also expressed hope that they would qualify for the World Cup to be held in India later in the year. The audience present there applauded a lot on Modi’s speech.

During the official state dinner at the White House, PM Modi said, “Amidst the love for baseball, cricket is also gaining popularity in America.
The US team is trying its best to qualify for the Cricket World Cup to be held in India later this year. I wish him all the best and success.”
Invited more than 400 guests for dinner in the pavilion:-
According to reports, more than 400 guests were invited for dinner in a specially decorated pavilion on the South Lawn of the White House.
