Earlier, the BCCI had airlifted Pant from Dehradun to Mumbai. At the same time, under the supervision of Dinshaw Pardiwala, the treatment of Pant’s ligament injury is going on.

Pant’s treatment is going on at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai, but before that bad news has come out for his fans.

In fact, after being badly injured in a car accident, sources close to the BCCI medical team had reported that the Indian wicket-keeper batsman may not return to the field for about 8-9 months.

At the same time, it is now being said that Pant will not only be able to play the Asia Cup along with IPL 2023, but he can also stay away from the ODI World Cup to be held in October.

Pant was examined on Thursday by a team of doctors led by Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala. Meanwhile, sources said that the team of doctors feel that no MRI or surgery can be done until the swelling subsides.

The experts at the hospital are of the view that Pant has suffered a severe ligament tear and it will take around 8-9 months for him to be completely back to normal.

Earlier, former Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra has praised the BCCI. In fact, the gold medalist said that the way BCCI is helping Rishabh Pant after the accident is commendable. Along with this, he also appealed to the board to provide psychologist to Pant.
