The team won the title by defeating Bangladesh in the final of the Women’s Emerging Team Asia Cup 2023 held on Wednesday. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah congratulated the team for this historic win.

Under the captaincy of Shweta Sehrawat, the Indian women’s cricket team defeated Bangladesh by 31 runs in the title match. Kanika Ahuja was adjudged player of the match in the final.
Kanika also played an important role in bowling:-
She scored an important 30 off 23 balls, in this innings she hit 4 fours. Apart from this, she also played an important role in bowling. Kanika took 2 wickets for 23 runs in a spell of 4 overs.
BCCI Secretary and Asian Cricket Council Chief Jay Shah tweeted congratulating Team India for this victory.
He wrote “What an amazing win! Many congratulations to the Women’s A cricket team on winning the title (Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023).

Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup Final:-
Indian women’s cricket team captain Shweta Sehrawat won the toss and decided to bat first. The team scored 127 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
Dinesh Vrinda scored the most runs for the team, he scored 36 runs in 29 balls. In this innings he hit 5 fours and 1 six. Kanika Ahuja scored 30 runs.
The bowling of the Indian team was good, and while defending the target of 128 runs, the team stopped Bangladesh for 96 runs. Shreyanka Patil took maximum 4 wickets for Team India.

He gave only 13 runs in his 4 overs. Mannat Kashyap took 3 wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs.
Kanika Ahuja got 2 and Titas Sandhu got 1 wicket. The Indian cricket team won the title by winning by 31 runs.
