Indian pacer Ishant Sharma has uncertain for the Australia tour that is tentatively set to get underway in the month of December.

On Monday, he was ruled out of the IPL after he sustained a muscle tear following experiencing pain on his rib cage on October 7.

Before the IPL began, Ishant Sharma was suffering from back spasms and missed the first two matched. He made a comeback against Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he want wicketless before being benched for the subsequent fixtures.

Delhi Capital revealed, Ishant Sharma complained of pain in the left rib cage on October 7 and further tests confirmed that he has sustained a left internal oblique muscle tear.

The Indian Express reported, Ishan won’t be able to bowl for the next three weeks, though such injuries keep a player out for around two months.

The pacer is set to return to India where undergo rehabilitation at the NCA in Bangaluru.

He will also be joined by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was ruled out after SRH’s match against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Dubai earlier this month.

As far as the tour of Australia is concerned, the national selectors are likely to announce the squad later this month. It remains to be seen whether or not Ishant makes the cut or not.

A regular member of the Test squad, the last two years has seen Ishant’s stocks rise. He has been among the reliable pacers at home and abroad.

But since the beginning of this year, Ishant has been hampered by injuries.

An ankle problem suffered during a Ranji Trophy match in January recurred during India’s tour of New Zealand, forcing him to miss the second Test in Christchurch.
