The BCCI and the IPL Governing Council (IPL GC) are planning to take strict action against the players who are out of the league after being bought in the auction.

According to Cricbuzz, some franchises are quite unhappy with the behavior of the players.

IPL 2022: Jason Roy and Alex Hales of England also decided to leave IPL 2022. Both of them were bought at the auction at the base price.

Jason Roy and Alex Hales withdrew after referring to Bio Bubble Fatigue. While both were aware of the IPL schedule and bubble even before the auction.

IPL 2022: Cricbuzz has written, quoting a source familiar with the matter, there will be a policy under which whoever has withdrawn from the IPL will be barred from playing in the tournament for a few years.

This determination will be case by case and research will be doing. Before taking action on whether the reason-giving is justified or not.
