KKR head coach Brendon McCullum is leaving the team only after being appointed as the new Test coach of the England team. Hence, KKR is looking for a new coach for the team. Simon Katich was part of the KKR coaching set-up before McCullum joined. Considering that he currently has no active role after leaving his job at Sunrisers Hyderabad before this season. He could become the new head coach of KKR. Alternatively, the two-time champion could also return to the most successful coach in his history – Trevor Bayliss. Although Bayliss is no longer associated with any IPL team. He is coaching teams in the Big Bash League and The Hundred. In such a situation, it may be a difficult task for the KKR management to persuade Bayliss to return to the IPL. Meanwhile, though the appointment date is yet to be decided, it is expected that KKR will find a new coach at the earliest.
