IPL 2022: Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma gave an update on the injury of star batsman Suryakumar Yadav during a media interaction on Wednesday.

Rohit has made it clear that Suryakumar Yadav will not be a part of the team’s opening matches. Rohit says that this right-handed batsman is currently in Bangalore and is going through the process of rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

In response to the question asked by the journalist, Rohit said, “Suryakumar is currently in the NCA. We await his release from the NCA. He will not be able to come till he does not get the clearance to play from the NCA.

IPL 2022: Suryakumar Yadav suffered a thumb injury during the last match of the T20 series between India and the West Indies. The fracture in the thumb was supported during the investigation.
