IPL 2022 Rule Change: BCCI has introduced 2 big rules for IPL 2022, IPL 2022 will see many new rules. Before the 15th season of IPL, BCCI has made some major changes in the game of IPL.

BCCI has added one more rule to the new rules of MCC that, after the batsman is out, the new player will take the strike.

BCCI has informed the teams that each team can lose a point if they do not have 11 players i.e. playing XI before the game, at that time they will not be giving the opportunity to decide the team again.

The Match Schedule To be Decided Again

Changes can be making in the team’s playing XI after the case of corona comes to the fore in the team. But if any team cannot make the playing XI due to the Corona issue, then the schedule of the match will be decided again.

If even later the match is not possible, then the subject will be sending to the technical committee.

According to the report of Cricbuzz, the board has said that if a team does not have a playing XI, then that match will be holding later and if it does not happen even after that, whatever the technical committee decides will have to be accepted.

Last year, in view of the increasing issues of Corona, the second phase of IPL was playing in the UAE in September.

IPL 2022 RULE Change-2: A team must have at least 7 Indian players at all times to field a team.

And failing to do so will result in the loss of the game. In such a situation, the team which is unable to play XI will give two points to its opponents.

In these new rules of IPL, another special rule has been made regarding DRS. As per the new rule. The number of DRS in each innings as per BCCI has been increased from one to two.

This will allow the Decision Review System to be used twice during each innings. Earlier this was not the case, earlier the decision review system used to be used once during every innings. Now a team will have 2 DRS in fielding and also 2 DRS in batting.

BCCI also suggested that if it is not possible to break the tie in the final of the playoffs in the case of a Super Over. The team ranked higher in the league will be declaring the winner. Now the rule will also be changing regarding tie-breakers in playoffs and finals.

If a playoff or final match does not lead to a Super Over after a match is tied. Or if a Super Over is not expecting after a Super Over. Then the winner is advancing based on both teams’ places in the league stage will be doing. The team that finishes above the opponent in the league stage will be considering the winner.

IPL 2022 will be holding in Mumbai and Pune. For the playoffs, the BCCI is considering possible options like playoff Ahmedabad and Kolkata.
