IPL 2022: Three series of foreign players are clashing with the dates of IPL. This is the reason why some foreign players (26 foreign players) will not be able to play in the first few competitions of their IPL teams.

  • West Indies vs England – England is currently participating in a Test series against West Indies. The last match of the series will be played on March 28.
  • Pakistan vs Australia – A three-match test series is being played between Australia and Pakistan. Apart from this, three ODIs and one T20 match will be played. The Test series will end on March 25, while Australia’s tour of Pakistan will end on April 5.
  • South Africa vs Bangladesh – South Africa will play three ODIs and two test matches against Bangladesh. This ODI series will end on 23 March, while the Test series will end on 12 April.

The List of Players who Missed Out on IPL 2022 Opening Rival:-

1. Chennai Super Kings – Dwaine Pretorius

Chennai Super Kings will be short of only one overseas player in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders.

South African all-rounder Dwayne Pretorius, who was bought by CSK for 50 lakhs, has been included in the ODI series against Bangladesh.

South Africa Cricket (CSA) has not yet released the Test team. Irrespective of whether he is picked for the Test or not, Pretorius will surely miss out on the opening IPL tournament. If that happens, Dwayne Pretorius will miss five matches.

2. Mumbai Indians – Jofra Archer

Mumbai Indians will be the only team in the IPL that will not miss their foreign player due to some issue. Australia’s all-rounder Daniel Sams’ accessibility was the only concern.

Rohit Sharma’s team will miss only Jofra Archer throughout the season, as England fast bowler Jofra Archer has been injured for a long time.

3. Kolkata Knight Riders – Pat Cummins and Aaron Finch

Like CSK, Rajasthan Royals will also miss a star player from South Africa in the form of Rassi van der Dussen. The top-order batsman has been included in the Proteas squad for the ODI series against Bangladesh.

5. Sunrisers Hyderabad

South African pacer Marco Jensen and batsman Aiden Markram will feature in the ODIs against Bangladesh.

Like van der Dussen, the pair could miss between one and five matches depending on the CSA’s release for the Test series.

6- Delhi Capitals

In IPL, if any team will suffer the most due to the omission of foreign players, then that team is Delhi Capitals.

Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman and South African pacer Lungi Ngidi will compete against each other in the upcoming ODI series, while Enrique Nortje is still injuring.

Mitchell Marsh will be accessible from the fourth match as he is part of the T20 and ODI series against Pakistan.

David Warner will not be a part of the Delhi Capitals in the first few competitions. Because he has learned to attend the funeral of his idol Shane Warne, which will take place on March 30.

7. Royal Challengers Bangalore

After Behrendorff’s selection in the ODI and T20 squads against Pakistan, he will miss at least three matches.

8. Punjab Kings:-

Jonny Bairstow, Kagiso Rabada, Nathan Ellis (Punjab Kings – Jonny Bairstow, Kagiso Rabada, Nathan Ellis)

At the start of IPL 2022, three Punjab Kings players will not be able to participate in the tournament.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow, who is currently with the England Test team on the West Indies tour, will miss the first match of the IPL at least.

Australian fast bowler Nathan Ellis will miss four matches. Additionally, South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada will also miss one to five matches.
