IPL 2023 Auction: England coach Brendon McCullum praised Rehan Ahmed, said- “It would be good if Rehan gets the IPL deal.

Many teams buy Rehan in IPL:-

He has said that it would be amazing if Rehan is bought by many teams in IPL then it would be great for him.

McCullum wants the franchise to give this young player as many opportunities as possible so that he can play as much cricket as possible.

Ahmed youngest player to take five wickets on his Test debut:-

The 18-year-old Ahmed became the youngest player to take a five-wicket haul on his Test debut. In the third Test against Pakistan, he took 5 wickets for 48 runs on the third day.

Ahmed, who already has a chance to play in the ILT20 starting in January and February in the UAE.

He has shown interest in the IPL 2023 auction to be holding in Kochi on Friday with a base price of Rs 40 lakh.

“It would be great for Rehan. If he gets selecting in the IPL.” McCullen said on the BBC’s Test Match Special on Tuesday.

Encouraged To Play franchise cricket:-

The former coach of Kolkata Knight Riders said, “I am encouraging youngsters to play franchise cricket. It will be great if Rehan gets selecting for IPL.

He will get the opportunity to rub shoulders with other players and take those experiences. He is a fully developing international cricketer.”

The former New Zealand captain said. “The important thing is that now we will continue to look after him.” “I would encourage him to play as much franchise cricket as possible.
