IPL 2023: MS Dhoni of Chennai Super Kings will not retire from IPL yet. It was believed that Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni would retire after IPL 2023.

He made his fans happy:-

But he has made his fans happy. Because now Dhoni can be seen playing in the 17th season of IPL as well.

Dhoni is likely to stay for one more year before stepping down as Chennai Super Kings captain.

A CSK official told Sport, ‘MS hasn’t told us anything about his retirement yet. We understand that that day will not be late.

But he understands his responsibility better than others. One of them is choosing the next captain. Right now we don’t have much choice.

Ben is down with injuries, Jadeja had his chances but couldn’t. So, this could be the reason. But as it stands, MS hasn’t told us anything about retiring at the end of IPL 2023.”

When will Dhoni retire?

Commentator Danny Morrison asked Dhoni about his IPL retirement, “This wonderful swansong tour is your last, how are you enjoying it?” To this Dhoni replied, “You have decided that this is my last, not me.”

Suresh Raina told TOI, “When I met him recently, Mahi bhai said that he will win the trophy this year and play next season as well.

Dhoni bhai is looking good and he is batting really well. The team combination of CSK is very good.

He should play a few more seasons. Given the time I’ve spent with him and the way I know him, he should play for another year.”

There are Many Things To Understand Here:-

The CSK official explained, “There are a lot of things to understand here. Look, there will be a mega auction in 2025. We have to see which players we get, who we can retain.

This should be a long-term option. We don’t choose a captain for a season and MS wants continuity. Next year a lot will become clear.
