In early January, Delhi Capitals officially informed that Sourav Ganguly has been appointed as the Director of Cricket of Delhi Capitals.
Sourav Ganguly stepped down from the post of BCCI president last year, after which Roger Binny has been appointed as the president. This will be the first IPL season under Roger Binny’s tenure.
Sourav Ganguly, who was the mentor of the Delhi Capitals team before his presidency, has once again joined the franchise.

At the same time, big players have not gathered yet. About 10 days before the IPL i.e. by March 20, most of the players will join the camp.
Before the men’s IPL, this time the women’s IPL is also being organized, which will start on March 4 and will run till March 26.
Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that Rishabh Pant will not play in IPL season 16, the team will announce a new captain in his place. It may take 4 to 5 months for him to return to the field after the car accident.
